By the order and consent of ICC the coach of this series Andy Flower has been selected from Zimbabwe and he will also select the squad.

According to the recent reports Najam Sethi declared in a press conference that there will be fifteen players that will take part in this World XI tournament in Pakistan from seven countries such as England, New Zealand, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Zimbabwe, on other side India has rejected to send its players to Pakistan for some reasons. Yes, this is true that Sri Lanka is agreed to send its players to Pakistan and this will make a bid to help recover international cricket scene in Pakistan. All the players are quite excited to play this tournament under the normal climate in Pakistan. All the cricket boards of these included countries have signed the agreement and they are coming to Pakistan very soon for the practice and to maintain their physical fitness. PCB and Government of Pakistan has ensured the complete safety of transport and living while they stay in Pakistan to make this tournament happen in peace. 

The squad of World XI series Pakistan 2017:


PCB has declared the squad of World XI series, the captain that will lead and govern the squad is Faf du Plessis by South Africa. The squads that will take part from the following countries are mentioned with names ahead. Hashim Amla (South Africa), Samuel Badree (Windies), George Bailey (Australia), Paul Collingwood (England), Ben Cutting (Australia), Grant Elliott (New Zealand), Tamim Iqbal (Bangladesh), David Miller (South Africa), Morne Morkel (South Africa), Tim Paine (Australia), Thisara Perera (Sri Lanka), Imran Tahir (South Africa) and Darren Sammy (Windies). This is a three day event and will be played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore on 12th, 13th and 15thSeptember 2017. The teams included in this tournament are very potential and make Pakistani cricket to the international standard once again. The arrangements and the combination of theWorld XI series are such as five players from South Africa, three from Australia, two from the Windies, and one each from Bangladesh, England, New Zealand and Sri Lanka.
